THEME for 2024-2025

Each year, the International President presents a theme to unite members towards a common achievement. When over 120,000 members prevail with one passion, the results can create the change across nations and for generations.

HEARTBEAT OF HUMANITY
As we embrace this theme, we are reaffirming our commitment to be a powerful force for good in the world. We take a pledge to remain the Humanity’s Heartbeat forever.

Inner Wheel members promote friendship and foster international understanding. We are women volunteers in service, doing our part for a better and stronger world. To find out more, start by attending a fellowship meeting in a nearby club or by helping out in a service project.

Leadership & Empowerment

The Inner Wheel Club of Manchester was founded in 1924 by Margarette Golding, the first of nearly 4,000 Inner Wheel Clubs today. By 2022, Inner Wheel has grown to more than 120,000 members in 100 countries.

Members are the core of all Inner Wheel Clubs managed by elected Club Executives. Four or more clubs can form an Inner Wheel District with elected officers. The growth of Districts led to the formation of National Governing Bodies in several countries.

Office bearers hold positions for 1 to 3 years where each year starts 1 July and ends 30 June. Every Inner Wheel member has the opportunity to hold office, to experience, to learn and to lead. It is a nurturing platform for young adults to start.

Chairman Message

Maria Nah Hassanbhai
District Chairman 2024-2025
Inner Wheel District 332

My dear Club Presidents and Fellow Members,

It is great to start a new term with a positive and collaborative spirit. I am sure that with teamwork and dedication your club will have a successful year ahead.

I would like to share with you the extract of my speech relating to my vision for this term 2024-2025, which was delivered on 8th June 2024.

One of my primary goals as District Chairman is to foster a spirit of Unity and Collaboration among our members.

I would like to emphasize four key areas of focus:

  1. Membership Retention and Growth
We need to retain current members and invite prospective ones. Globally, there is a big shift in women joining other organisations. Let’s engage and invite others to experience and be part of the Rich history of Inner Wheel!

  2. Education and Social Cohesion
Many members may not fully understand Inner Wheel’s purpose and principles. I propose organising an interactive workshop for all members, especially Club EXCO, to participate, to learn and to have fun. This will take placje on 24th August this year. It will be on a Saturday, so that working members will be able to participate.

  3. Collaborative Community Project
I propose that the four Clubs collaborate on ONE joint community service, in addition to your Club’s pet project. This initiative will foster teamwork, social impact and stronger bonds with the community and potential members.

  4. Social Event
Organising ONE joint social event will provide members with meaningful interactions to connect, socialize and strengthen friendships for years to come.

By combining SOCIAL and Community SERVICE activities we create a holistic experience that nurtures growth and friendship.

In Friendship,
Maria
