SO LET THE CELEBRATIONS BEGIN! (10 January 2025)

The wind was raging! 

The rain was pouring down unabated! 

BUT

55 resilient members of the 4 Inner Wheel Clubs in Singapore braved the elements to attend the World Inner Wheel day organised by Inner Wheel Club of Singapore West, co-led by the other 3 clubs, at the spacious and bright Salem chapel in Thomson Hills on Friday 10th January.

Despite the delay in starting the evening, all went according to plan with smiles and friendly fellowship shared amidst tables decked with candles, flowers and sparkling gems! Old friendships were renewed with hugs and kisses  and new ones made!

Following on from the formal protocol of toasts, speeches and the lighting of the Candle of Friendship and Inner Wheel Song a fun interactive game helped members to get to know one another, before sharing a sumptuous dinner, with line dancing concluding  the event! 

It was a lovely evening, aptly celebrating one of the principal values referred to in  President Tan Wee Ling’s welcome address…Selfless Friendship…

Fellow Inner Wheel members we look forward to celebrating with you next year…. January 10th, 2026!

Community Development Programme (16 January 2025)

This event was held at Block 510, Ang Mo Kio in good weather and happy surroundings attended by 110 elderly residents. The aim of this programme, the first of two to be held this month, is to improve the cognitive and physical abilities of the elderly,  as well as providing an informal  meeting place for  extending friendships among the residents.

Games and activities were conducted together with a fashion show competition!  Really innovative costumes were developed from trash bags and straw hats! A tasty buffet followed which was enjoyed by all the participants!

Dancing and singing ensued with all in agreement it had been a highly successful start to the New Year!
